NEW COLLECTION OF HIBISCUS

New hybrid of hibiscus in Gary's Garden. Infact, Gary's Garden is blooming now, with additions of Pure White Water Lily and this new hybrid of hibicus. The hibiscus is very easy to maintain, the only thing is that it only works during first half of the day, the other half, no bloom at all.

YESTERDAY TODAY

Pure White Water Lily, exactly the same flower, but bloom differently just in two consecutive days. This remind me girls are temperamental, very hard to predict, haha. You agree with me?

At last, Gary's Garden successfully planted PURE WHITE WATER LILY. We are proud to share with you this happy moment. At the same time, we discovered wild mushroom in our garden and that water grass also can flower.

CELEBRATION OF LIFE, it is happening in Gary's Garden

Gary's Garden is honoured that the birds decided to come back again. Again, 2 eggs were hatched and same kind of bird. This time around, we managed to have photos of the beginning till the flying learning stage.

Mother and father birds taking turns to give foods to their babies. Love is all over the place. We must treasure it.

IMPIANA CHERATING RESORT

Gary's Garden decided to make a trip to Impiana Cherating Resort last few days ago. The trip was really wonderful and all of us enjoyed it very much. Impiana Cherating is sort of a paradise to us. We will surely go back there again in future. We Malaysian should be proud of Malaysia which inherited lots of natural beauties while other places must take all trouble to invite bids and spend so much money to make additional tourist attractions.

So, why should we quarrel between ourselves? Lets enjoy what we are inherited and make Malaysia a better place to stay. Just forget whether we get lesser or others make more and lets go to Impiana Cherating Resort, it will make you think better.

中秋晚会

为了参加我孩子学校的中秋晚会，我特制了一个防火和水的燈籠。因为忙于重要事情，已经好久没有好好的陪他们玩了。所以呢就抽点时間来制作一盏用铁鑵制成的中国燈籠。

小时候，家里根本没有多餘的钱来買燈籠，所以就动起腦来造一个燈籠来玩。这燈籠不是怎幺起眼，可是对我的宝貝来说是最好的燈籠。希望他们有个快乐与幸福的童年。

The recent problems had resulted I being spending less time with my kids. So, in conjuction with Mid-Autumn Festival celebration of my son's school, I decided to hand made a Chinese lantern for him to participate in the celebration.

Well, during my childhood, I do not have the luxury to own a lantern. So, I used empty aluminium can to make a lantern for myself. This lantern may not be as beautiful as those selling in the market, but to my kids, it is the best. I sincerely hope they have a memorable and happy childhood.

SKYPE IS REALLY WONDERFUL

Skype are really wonderful. It makes the world so small. Even it works well in a PDA. Last week, I use skype mobile to do multichat with 8 skype accounts at one go and it functions without flaws, and, you know what, its "free". At one time, I received 26 messages consecutively. Can you imagine that, and its all for free.

I wish to thank skype for making my life easier as during last week, I have to update my siblings and relatives, who reside all over the places including Jakarta, Singapore, Dunedin, London, China, Muar at one shot about certain thing that concern a lot of people around. Well, I even being conferred 'BEST REPORTER OF THE YEAR' award from one of the participant.

I believe skype will improve further and lets us, the users support skype by using its other features like skype out, skype in, skype sms, skype voicemail. Although one needs to pay for using these features, I think they are still cheap comparing to handphone and fixed lines charges.

INFRARED vs BLUETOOTH

It was a very very hectic and tense week for me and my family, maybe it was the most tense moment we can ever recall in my lifetime. Fortunately, the event turn out to be perfect and we are very thankful to everyone who had offerred prayers, love and concerns to my family. These events in a way make us realise that sometime, we may take things for granted and will start to appreciate more what we have. Phew !!! to relief the pressure, we share herewith a humour which was emailed by a buddy :-

Answer : via INFRARED

No wonder they always shake their heads when chatting due to poor reception,
but they are going to change the red color to blue, you know why?
Answer : because BLUETOOTH has a better signal........hehe

GRAPES SEASON IS HERE AGAIN

Gary's Garden is full of grapes again. Well, Gary's Garden is in good mood this time around. We thank all friends, colleages, uncles and aunties for their loves, concerns and prayers. Come to think of this, things can be marvellous if our efforts put in are honest and sincere. This is irrespective of one's religions.

Actually, religions are not the cause of problems that the world is facing, human are.

JONKER ST - ART & PAINTING

Some arts and paintings that we found in Jonker St are just simple and nice. One of them is a chinese calligraphy based on a poem written by a famous ancient chinese. This piece of poem was used as lyric of a song sung by the late Teresa Teng.

JONKER ST - THE CLAY HOUSE

One of the premises in Jonker St that impressed me was the The Clay House. If you want to find designer's collection of clay works, this is the place that you should go. As promised to Mr. Leong of The Clay House, I posted here a few of his works.

JONKER ST, MELAKA

It was an eye opener for me. On 19-20 August 2006, Gary's Garden visited Melaka, a state in Malaysia which is rich with its historical heritage. Melaka was under the rule of Melaka Sultanate, Portugese, Dutch and English before and you can find traces of these rules in Melaka, particularly, the Jonker Streets. A visit to Melaka is not complete without visiting Jonker St. Previously, I was just driving through the streets, but this time, I decided to have a walk with my family. The walk is definitely an eye opener to us and Gary's Garden decided to share with you photos shot during our visit in the next few postings. So, keep your fingers crossed.

Gary's Garden met a few personnels in Jonker St and has promised them to post their products in Gary's Garden. So, friends, keep visiting Gary's Garden to view your products, ya ?

By the way, I was told several movies had been shot at Jonker St.

17082006 - A SIGNIFICANT DAY

Today, 17 August 2006, is a significant day for me and my family. Reason being...........it is a very very lucky day for us. Sometime, miracle can happen in this world, something if fated to be ours will be ours.
